The cultural sector was among the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. But instead of giving in to despair, dancer, choreographer, and ensemble director Eric Gauthier – just as he did with his Dying Swans Project – refused to be discouraged and looked for ways to reach people, at least virtually.
This led to Out of the Streaming Box, the virtual continuation of his series Out of the Box, where he gave his dancers the opportunity to step into the role of choreographer.
The result? Six unique new dance pieces—each spectacular and special in its own way.
My colleague David Brenner and I had the opportunity to produce the intro segments for the streaming event, where the dancers/choreographers present their new works.
